January 18 (Saturday) H.A.G.G.I.S. Burns Dinner at St. Wenceslaus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Scottish food including haggis, ceremonial readings and toasts, bag-piping, and Scottish social dancing, raffle, dessert contest, and live music from Coppers & Brass. Reservations accepted no later than January 11. $20 for adults, $10 for kids 6-18, age 5 and under free. 4 pm.
January 25 (Saturday) Burns Night hosted by David MacLeod Burt at Sanctuary Pub (in the Red Room) in Iowa City. This is a double fun opportunity because Burns Night begins at 7 pm in the Red Room and then the wonderful Saul Lubaroff is playing from 8 to 10 pm in the main area of the Sanctuary. 7 pm.
March 6 (Friday) Coffeehouse Nights at Lowe Park Arts and Environment Center in Marion, Iowa with Keith Reins and Champagne Academy of Irish Dance. 7 pm.
