Many chances to enjoy traditional Irish music over the next several weeks! Here are just the ones that involve me:

Monday, March 9, there will be a gathering of musicians playing Irish tunes at Micky’s Irish Pub in Iowa City beginning at 7 pm.

Saturday, March 14,  my friend and teaching colleague Gayla Drake and I will be performing for the March Studio Series at 3 pm at West Music in Coralville. Two of my wonderful students are also on the program.

Saturday, March 14, The Beggarmen will be performing at 2 Dogs Pub and we are blessed to be joined by some of the dancers from the Champagne Academy of Irish Dance. We’ll begin at 8 pm. This is often a very well attended show so make plans to arrive early.

Sunday, March 15, The Beggarmen will be at Mo Dailey’s Pub in Chicago beginning at 2 pm. (Not local, I know. Hop the Megabus?)

Tuesday, March 17 at Uptown Bill’s in Iowa City will be the legendary St. Paddy’s Day potluck followed by an Irish session. The potluck begins at 6 pm.

Saturday, March 28 at Uptown Bill’s in Iowa City, my grade 7 and up students will be performing beginning at 4 pm.
