Listen, we need each other.

Two truths:

1. Nielo, Chris and I can very happily make music together in a completely empty room

but

2. When a beloved arts organization like Riverside Theatre goes out on a limb to welcome live music into their beautiful lobby, you showing up means that these kinds of opportunities can be repeated and we can all continue to grow as a community that values and uplifts the arts.

This performance idea began with me getting very excited that a play by my favorite Irish poet Seamus Heaney opens at Riverside on January 30.

One of the central lines of this play bursts with resonance for KERAK because our music vibrates with themes of justice and community:

“…once in a lifetime the longed-for tidal wave of justice can rise up and hope and history rhyme.”

Tickets for the KERAK performance on Friday are just $15 (before ticketing fees) and are available at riversidetheatre.org under Special Events.

Space will be very limited so reserving tickets ahead of time on the website is recommended.
