I like to mention as often as possible that I love Stephanie Catlett’s music so much and I can think of no place I’d rather be on Halloween night, my most favorite night of the whole year, than playing with Stephanie, Blake Shaw, Dan Padley, Brian Cooper at The Black Angel.

I think of The Black Angel as the venue in Iowa City that is the most haunted in the best possible way by the legacy of independent music in Iowa City.
